At Joseph F. Yates Architects we believe a good design lasts a lifetime. In fact, several of our projects feature buildings that span many lifetimes. We are a small firm with extensive experience. We are glad you want to know more about us.
Firm History: Joseph F. Yates opened his architecture practice in 1996, to serve clients needing renovation to historic buildings, adaptive re-use, and architectural projects requiring a depth of knowledge about historic architecture.
In the past 10 years, our firm has assisted clients with a wide range of sensitively designed projects including:
renovation and restoration work to create "living history" building installations to evoke the way we once lived for a new generation; designs for new infill homes in a historic neighborhood; assisting religious groups with updating existing worship facilities; residential additions and renovations of historic houses on Monument Avenue; renovation and adaptive re-use of a former warehouse into upscale apartments;
a former geriatric nursing facility in a historic neighborhood into luxury condominiums;
and many thoughtfully designed and properly detailed custom residential projects.
